if i could give this zero stars i would. i have been growing out my hair for quite so time and with school picture day coming up i wanted som layers. i called to make sure this was possible and when i got there i showed my stylist an inspo photo ( shown below) she told me she could do that and i told her i did not want much hair cut off length wise if that was possible which again i was told that would be fine. It is now almost to my jawline. I also told her i wear my hair in a middle part at the end of the cut she flipped it to a drastic side part which i was confused but i knew i would change it when i got in the car. I walked out knowing it was shorter than i wanted but i knew it would grow back. when i got home i washed and blowed dried my hair only to look at it and see it was complet

I want to have a edge bob haircut and I know some stuff at JC penny may not know how to do it based on the reviews. So, I asked the lady before I would let her cut my hair and showed her a picture of the style I want. The lady confidently said " I know this, and I can do it". I felt she was cutting in the wrong way so I tried to explained with her again. It turned out she didn't speak much English and we cannot communicate at all. The results of my hair was totally wrong. The lady was not honest at what she could cut. I won't go there again and not recommend to work with anyone who can't communicate.

When I arrived at the Salon, the lady I'm booked with isn't experienced with Ethnic people hair. Then the lady that did my hair charged way more amd did not honor my JC Penney $10 Cash coupon because she's a "Master Stylist". My concern is if what I came for was going to cost more with a different stylist doing my hair, that is something that should have been disclosed - so that I can make a sound decision on if I want to proceed with service. So me spending $110 instead of my appointment price of $35 is totally what should have NEVER happened. Esp. with a wash and style service. $110 is pricing for a more upscale service or maybe 2 services. But definitely not a wash and style. I was publicly humiliated by the stylist JEANNE in front of other customers this week. The stylist was very inappropriate and made a lot of unflattering, racial-driven comments towards me about ethnic people and their hair. Everyone’s hair is different, yes, but there’s a way to talk about the complexities of hair in a much more professional, not racist way. She did NOT touch my hair at all or take the time to look at my hair (she didn’t even have me sit down in a chair and just stood behind the register counter). She immediately began making a lot of negative comments about my hair and appearance in front of AND to other customers. She began comparing me to other customers in the store that was incredibly embarrassing, still WITHOUT even taking the time to look or touch my hair. She did

Princess braided my four year old daughters hair at the JCP Salon. It was my daughters first time at a salon and she had a great experience. Princess was able to do exactly what we requested and we were very happy with the results!
