Madelyn’s Beauty Salon

We decided to give Madelyn’s a try during our visit to the area. Maria kindly took us as a walk in for a haircut for me and my 12 year old daughter. My daughter has always wanted to dye her hair as well and I was worried about how it would turn out and overall cost. We trusted Maria’s expert knowledge on doing a balayage without bleaching and it turned out amazing! My daughter is over the moon and so happy with the results and the cut (for which she was also hesitant to cut too much). That said, Maria is amazing with working with teens and meeting parent’s expectations. True gem of a place!

Recommend for curly hair! I have refused to let anyone cut my hair for 3 years because of my curls, but she did a wonderful job! Listened to my concerns and knew how to cut it. Will be coming back regularly from now on. The prices are very reasonable especially for the DMV.

We moved to VA about six mo ago and happened to drive by this non assuming hair salon on my way to work one day. I decided to drop in after work to make an appointment. Maria was very receptive and welcoming even though she was busy with her appointed client so instantly I felt welcomed. The second thing I noticed was a very clean studio., so I decided to made my first appointment and was very pleasantly surprised. I have very curly fine hair and usually a mess with the VA humidity., but Maria colored, cut, and styled my hair it was so nice! I’ve been there 2x and so far so good! Her prices are reasonable, you get great value for your money here; Maria’s expertise and the affordable prices are a winning combination. Maria’s extensive experience is clearly evident. I’ve been going to Maria for decades! She is always amazing! Today is my best friend’s birthday and I bought a much needed haircut for her as a gift. When I saw her my jaw dropped.
