***Update: I was contacted by Julie from the JC Penney Salon Forestville location. She apologized for the service I received and the comments made by the hairdresser. She assured me that it was not there policy to make such comments and invited my child back for a complementay hair service. Although I was apprehensive, I agreed and I'm glad I did! She was very kind and was gentle with my child. He had a good experience. I appreciate the time Julie took to make everything right. I would definitely give this service 5 stars. Andrea is my stylist at the JCPenny Salon. Adrea is wonderful! She has a pleasant personality and is very timely in being available for scheduled appointments. She is skilled and professional in performing a variety of styles. I am always pleased with what she does with my request. I get so many compliments. I went in last week for a cut. I had chosen a same-day appointment and didn't realize it was the last slot of the day, which meant it was close to closing time. I wanted to go from pretty long hair (past my shoulders) to a very short cut. While there was a time crunch, the stylist (Sonya Brown) worked the best she could to reference the photo I gave and provide the cut. As it came closer to closing time, the salon manager (I think her name was Shenyah?) was available and jumped in to help finish the cut more quickly. Despite this, they still didn't make me feel rushed. They found me products for the cut that worked really well to help make it look the best, and they spent extra time with me to do so. Candice is the absolute best! She was able to shampoo and style my natural hair like no other. I went in for a natural twist out and she also did a treatment on my curls so they be extra bouncy. I loved the style she twisted my hair in so much that I wore it twisted for three days. Went I took my hair down it looked amazing. I would highly recommend her!
