Braided 4 U

I love this salon, and the ladies are fantastic! I arrived at 0600 and the ladies were ready for clients. Now at 10:00, all thanks to Princess, my hair is beautiful. I watched customers walk-in, immediately greeted, and with their stylist within minutes. The transformations are amazing. I will be returning. The specials are honored without question. I have found my salon.

I called ahead to see if it was busy. The young lady on the phone said come on in. I got breakfast for the crew. The lady who started on my hair had just finished someone else. I waited for her to eat because I understood she may be hungry. When she arrived back, she kept taking breaks. Leaving and coming back. I asked, “before you get started, are you actually ready to begin?” She said, “Yes,” She began and got right back up, getting money out her purse, stopping to help someone else. A hour later, she wasn’t even finished the second row. She was using hella product. I took a picture and was mortified. The part was crocked. It was more glazed on my hair than Krispy Crème Donuts. She also didn’t put enough braiding hair in the braid. I phoned a friend to make sure i wasn’t crazy. Indeed,

I absolutely hate my hair. It looks nothing like the social media page. They are very long winded, the braids don’t look professional. The braiders doing to many different task and it makes the process long. Their trying to do two heads at one time make customers wait longer. I always leave a tip and I wanted to so bad, but I just couldn’t because the service was so terrible. The pretty one with the boho braids was very nice as well and the one that had to go to court. But that Fatima is really nasty. I probably would never come back.

Let me start by saying please make sure you bring proof of the price or sale when you come to this place, now known as VIP Braiding. Firstly, they give you one price at the front, but once you sit down, the stylist asks, “What price did they tell you?” — and suddenly the price changes depending on your answer. The unprofessionalism here is overwhelming. The stylists argue in front of clients about who’s taking the next customer, and if there’s a disagreement about the quoted price, they start speaking in their own language and laughing — which comes across as very rude. They talk with their co-workers in their language all day and the only time they interact with customers is about payment. The salon itself is poorly maintained. Don’t waste your time coming here if you don’t want a nice and quick braiding experience. My sister and I came here to get braids done and at least 4 fights/arguments almost went down. They told me that it would only take 4 hours to get regular smedium knotless but I was in the chair for about 8 hrs. They get lazy and take multiple breaks so if you want to spend an entire day getting braids then go here at your own risk. Also they will try and lie to you about the price if you don’t check them. The braiders in the salon literally almost physically fought each other leaving me fearing our safety and security for the rest of this appointment.
