Horrible experience is an understatement! I wish I could rate 0 stars! To say these facility is ran by black men of the community, I expected more humility. To begin, I previously had my son's 16th birthday party there, and it was an enjoyable experience. So when he asked for an 18th party, the Zachary Men's club was a natural choice. When I booked, I communicated that there would be about 85 guests and then family members would attend. They said the max could be 100 people. It was never disclosed that security was not included when reserving the building. So when the party began at 8pm, everyone was abruptly kicked out the building to be banded and counted. Fine, whatever. The Men's club member overseeing the party, counted the bands, and there were still bands that were not used. From

Tonight was my nephew's 18th birthday celebration. The event started at 8 and was over abruptly at 9 pm. Not because of fighting, noise control, or any other hazards, all because one of the members called the police because he "felt" as if the kids would cause trouble. The first thing he complained about was the amount of children present. The member in charge made every child leave out of the building only to return with an armband. Then he threatened that if the children took off their shirts, or popped the many balloons that were there for decorations he would stop the party immediately. The whole experience was disheartening because not only was my nephew let down but time, money, and the vision my sister had for her son's party was wasted. I went to Queens for a Day Sponsor by Ms. Sharon McKnight....Brunch, guest speaker, games and prizes for the mother's was awesome....Had a great time can't wait until next year
