The NOW Massage Maple Lawn

I’ve been coming to The NOW pretty consistently for a while now and have absolutely loved every massage I’ve had! I’ve seen many therapists here and I really appreciate how each of them are consistent in quality yet different in technique while all being very knowledgeable on what the body needs in that moment. The atmosphere and signature scent of the candle puts me into a relaxed state the second I enter the door. I usually add on the gua sha, calm balm enhancement as well as the herbal heat therapy as it’s perfect for this chilly weather.

Overall, the experience was just okay. My therapist, Deantay, spoke so quietly and quickly that I felt a bit rushed. The front desk staff felt rushed, cold, and unfriendly. For a service that’s supposed to be relaxing, it was one of the oddest customer experiences I’ve had. I’m used to luxury hotel spas where the staff speak softly, guide you gently, and create a calming, almost utopian atmosphere. This felt like the opposite of that, although the space itself is aesthetically pleasing. I’m not in any hurry to return. I will add that when I called to get a descriptive, itemized receipt Asha was extremely pleasant on the phone.

I am giving this place a 2 star rating, for a couple of reasons. The ambiance is great, and the staff are very professional. They have calming ocean wave sounds playing in the massage room, and the table was heated & comfortable. However, the massage itself was incredibly underwhelming. I booked an 80 minute deep-tissue massage with the following add-ons: Scalp Renewal, Hemp Calm Balm, Herbal Heat Therapy, and Fresh Eyes. So, as you can imagine, it was not cheap. None of the add-ons we're worth it, except for MAYBE the heat therapy. I left the massage with the same pain and stress that I walked in with. Highly recommend!! I always leave feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. It’s honestly the best 80-minute nap (lol). I always book with Liz, but I’ve tried all three of their massage options — you can’t go wrong with any of them!

From the moment I stepped inside, the spa had this calming, beachy cabana vibe that immediately put me at ease. There was a huge, gorgeous candle near the entrance that made the entire space smell incredible; it set such a peaceful tone right away. I had my massage with Eyvonna, and it was amazing.
