DROPPED THE BALL....I've been going to TBB for a few years now and most of the time I'm satisfied. This time I chose a different style other than the usual twist. I had the passion twist installed with the water wave hair which was recommended by the braider. Although my hair is soft and the water wave hair is also softer than the normal braiding hair It didn't cross my mind that the braids would fall right out. The second day of having them done and paying almost $400 I would assume the business would want to ensure my happiness with the service. I called and texted and the first response was that the braider only works on Sat which is not feasible since there are other braiders during the week. I also live about 1.30hrs away driving. Very disappointed with my second visit. My first visit I had Victoria who did an excellent job. My second appointment was with Nikki, and was not satisfied with the end results. The braids are unevenly cut and extremely shorter than what was expected. She was rushing the appointment to get out early, and overcharged me $25. I truly loved my first experience at the Braid Bar, but after my second experience, I do not know if I would go back. The amount I was charged with the quality of the braids is not matching up.

I've been going to the braid bar on and off since 2017 and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and how professional and fast the staff were. I got my hair done two weeks ago and the service was for large box braids. I paid $200 for large box braids just for me to have to turn around and take them out this week. I feel like I was overcharged because the style didn't last and my braider Nikki also didn't really know what she was doing because some of my real hair is already coming out of the braids. She was also being greedy at the end trying to get $25 extra out of me when I already paid the $25 deposit fee when I booked. If I ever do decide to get my hair done here again I only want Paula and Rika to be in my head because this style was only worth $150 at best.

I was so disappointed in my last visit to this shop. The braid technician over charged me and ripped out my hair because she was in such a hurry. I should have spoken up and told her to stop what she was doing but it was difficult to voice in the moment. My technicians name was Nikki (after two other people started and had to leave). I was going in for a touch up. My first experience was pleasant, I had a different tech. Altogether this establishment isn't terrible but if you get Nikki, speak up and don't let her rip out your hair.

The quality was great i love my braids. No complaints about that. However there were 2 things i wasn't too pleased with. 1. Didn't like being questioned about how i was going to pay and asked if i could go get half of the cash so i wouldnt be overcharged and i was charged more than what i was told for paying with a card. 2. The short lady with the small sister locks wasn't very pleasant and welcoming. Not sure if she's not happy but she represents a business where you want clients to come back. She didn't do anything to be personally but just thought i should put that out there. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this opinion.
