Double Dove is such a gem!!! Awesome vibes, super convenient location, and most importantly incredibly talented and welcoming people. Britany has been cutting and coloring my hair for years now - I drive all the way from SF just so I can have Britany work her magic at Double Dove. I always feel heard by her and she consistently does an amazing job with my hair every single time. I couldn't recommend Double Dove enough!

I've been seeing Dez for years and even used to travel from the Outer Sunset in SF for my monthly haircuts. She provides a laid back and comfortable experience while giving professional cuts at an affordable price. Haircuts can be a source of stress for many queer and trans people, but Double Dove provides the exact opposite. You will leave feeling fresh and empowered!

I went to Leroy to fix a truly terrible haircut from a Los Angeles barbershop — and they completely revived my style. I’ve kept the same signature cut for years, so I don’t trust just anyone. My hair is fine, the symmetry has to be exact, and precision is crucial. They got it immediately and executed flawlessly. They bring real skill, sharp instincts, and actually listen — it feels collaborative, not transactional. You can tell they care about the details. I’m based in San Francisco and still make the trip to Piedmont to support this local queer-owned business. I’ve been going to them for the past four years — that says it all. I've been getting my hair cut by Dez for years now, and wouldn't have it any other way. (Although my partner gets his cut by Jay and says the same; frankly, everyone at Double Dove seems amazing!) I've never left the shop with a cut I've felt less than thrilled about. The shop as a whole is clean, welcoming, and affordable. Run, don't walk!!
