I had a great experience getting my hair done with Jekia!! I never have received a proper curly haircut and this went beyond my expectations. I learned a lot about my hair during the process and really loved the end result!! My hair feels light, voluminous, and has the shape I envisioned! I also love the customer service that was provided. She was able to schedule me and my partner for the same day and even offered for us to bring our baby if we couldn’t find a sitter which is a level of understanding/compassion many stylists do not offer. During my partners appointment, I learned how to maintain his locs. She made it easy and fun and I can’t wait to try what I learned at home!!

2/10 would not recommend. I booked online for an interlock maintenance ($164 for 100-200 locs) and fancy style ($65). Interlock bc her site prices up for over 2 weeks newgrowth, mine was 8 weeks. I spoke with the stylist the day before and was up charged an additional $50 (without even seeing my hair) for new growth (which is already a factor in her pricing online) . I wasnt too upset about the exorbitant pricing, just the styling and workmanship. Rough experience washing, she crocheted instead of interlocking (stabbing my scalp the entire time). When she was complete it looked like my hair had been in the same twists for 2 weeks lackluster, frizzy, and poorly done. The best hair stylist for locs in the area. Jekia truly loves what she does and has a passion for teaching folks about their natural hair. I have been loc’d for a year and don’t trust anyone else for this journey. Highly recommend. No drama. Good vibes. A clean and welcoming space.
