Sylla Africa Hair Braiding

Terrible, I had to leave without getting my hair done due to terrible service. The owner is rude. I only came there for a simple wash and cornrow of my natural hair for under a wig. 1. I get here they make me wait 40 minutes to get my hair started. 2. They tell me there’s no hot water that it’s only cold because it takes time for the hot heater to kick in 3. To drain the sink I had to lift my head out for the girl to scoop out the dirty water one scoop at a time 4. The girl washes my hair with only shampoo no conditioner. I complain they said I should’ve brought my own stuff because I should’ve known they ran out of conditioner 5. The girl started blow drying my hair without combing it. Just trying to dry it in its shrunken detangled state as if it’s not getting cornrowed after 6. My hair

Been going to Scylla since she opened . Unfortunately I will never return . The last time my hair was done there in Boho knotless the hair was falling out as I walked . The stylist gave me a bigger size than I asked for . She did not braid the curly pieces into the braid securing the curly pieces . I got my hair done 2weeks ago and it looks like I got it done 2months ago . Disappointed is an understatement . Playing with my 200$ u just lost one .

I walked in with good expectations, sat in her chair and told her what I needed a simple cornrow style of my natural hair no extensions no additions. Another patron came into the shop and asked her how much to get box braids. She told the woman $160. I thought that was reasonable box braids are alot of work. I matter-of-factly inquired how much my style would be. The woman said $150 with a straight face! I felt she was trying to rob me. I litteraly went around the corner to another establishment...the style took less than 1 hour they charged me $30 it was neet and looked fabulous. I hate the fact that I tried to support a sister and she was so mean and crooked. I would never recommend this place. Be aware.

I have been going here since I was a teenager. My hair is always nice and neat but, I have spent anywhere from 5 to 7 hours in there and that is way to long. I have taken my daughter there to get her hair done. I just choose to save my $40 and all of my wasted time and braid her hair myself.

This is a good place to get your hair done for the price of it all, she has lots of help, but it could benefit from more cleaning better chairs add a bathroom, the place seems to be a bit run down but to her is her place of business and I can't knock her for that, because she sure has a lot of people coming there. Besides she's very nice warm and kind hearted the type of person you enjoy doing business with to she's great 😊👍
