Sunny Hair Salon

Had a pleasant experience and great hair cut here. She is funny and easy to talk to. It is difficult to find someone who can cut short asian hair well so I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. Parking is ample and in the back of the shop. I would come back.

The salon is actually on the back side of the building, I was looking for it on the main street at first. I’m so happy that I found it though! She was so nice and welcoming and did exactly what I wanted! Her styling technique was impressive, it gave my hair some volume and I will try to do it myself.. I've been going here for 3 years now. My first visit was nerve-wracking. Sunny speaks very little English, I speak no Korean. Would she understand what I wanted. Took pics and hoped for the best. She laid my worries to rest. Sunny knows hair! I've never walked out dissatisfied or disappointed. It's a tiny little hole in the wall in Elkins Park but you will get top notch service. Her prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for a place to try out I suggest you give her a try you will not regret it. The salon has changed hands. Where'd you go Sunny?

While Sunny doesn't understand English very well she does understand hair. Although I'm male and my haircut needs are simple, she somehow always makes it so I walk away feeling I have more hair rather than less. If you can communicate to her what you want she will definitely give you a great cut.

Showed the picture of which hair style wanted, but it seems there were misunderstandings. End up with huge disappointments. Nothing even close to how the picture shows. The Curly hairs start to becaome straight even at day 1 after the perm. Not recommended for people who do not speak Korean. Very hard to communicate with the hair stylist.
