Great space with cool geeks building, hacking and repairing stuff!

this is def east bay's version of noisebridge, and with all that cheap space, it's not bad! along with the bio-tech lab beside it and the multi-media lab in the basement, it's indeed quite the combo! I absolutely prefer the anarchist/diy vibe here compared to the far more controlled (though clean!) Ace Makerspace. Lots of potential here! Anyone living in the area should be running events in these spaces, building them out. unlike noisebridge however, it's not nearly as popular, and if no one's there, you can't get in... this is natural tho. Conversely, it's probably more intimate. :) check the video stream to see if anyone is there before going!

Come for the tools, stay for the community. This is a great place to meet others with similar interests in a safe and affirming space. All levels of technical experience are welcome. If the door isn't open, ring the bell outside.
