Snip-its Haircuts for Kids

Okay experience. I was recommended here by a friend. Went in for my twin boys 1st hair cut (1yr olds). The millbury location seems outdated. The tv’s don't work and the chairs for the kids have rips in them. The hairdresser was nice and did a good job on one my boys haircuts. My other son’s hair wasn't evenly cut on one side. I thought it looked okay at the salon with a comb over but when I got home I was disappointed in how it looks. They both sat very well in the chair.

We specifically booked the First Haircut package because we wanted it to be thoughtful, memorable, and handled with care. Before the cut started, I clearly explained that we were letting his hair grow out and only wanted it evened out so it would naturally turn into a bowl cut as it grew. Despite this, Karen sat my son down and immediately began cutting without a proper consultation or confirmation. We have taken our child to Snip-its four times in an effort to give it a fair chance. Our son is generally very distressed during haircuts, which I fully understand can make the process more difficult. That said, this is exactly why parents choose a business that markets itself as specializing in children’s haircuts. Unfortunately, despite that expectation, the quality of the haircuts has been consistently poor. The last two visits, in particular, were completely unacceptable. After the third visit, I assumed the issue might have been an individual stylist. However, after my husband brought our son most recently, I was honestly floored — both immediately after the cut and again the following day — that the person who did it is considered a trained hairdresser. This was our first time here and Stephanie did an amazing job. One of my boys can be tricky when getting his hair cut but she was just great with him! Great with both of them and gave them real nice cuts, asked exactly what I wanted and constantly checked in with me while cutting their hair. Super friendly, great with young kids! Only reason why I probably won’t be going back is because I don’t live in this area. My boys had a great experience!

During my toddlers first haircut here, the stylist shoved a tablet in his face, and we left with very crooked bangs. The cut ended up costing over $30 after tip. We decided to give it another try, mainly for the convenience of online scheduling. We ended up being a couple minutes late to a 9:30 appointment. It took them over 10 minutes to check us in, and said our stylist would be with us shortly. After waiting another 15 minutes, they said they wouldn't be able to take us until 11:45. It was very frustrating to be waiting for almost a half hour with a small child, just to be turned away. Ended up at a barber shop and had a much better experience.
