Sweet, little studio just a bit down the road from Pixar, in a quiet spot in Emeryville. There is ample, free parking. The studio is light filled and modern, with rustic details. It is immaculately clean, smells nice and the people are just lovely. The ambiance is calming. Tracy is the balayage queen. Appointments for her can now be booked online.

I have been seeing Tracy for the past 15 years for my color. She is a color specialist only and really does a great job of making your color look natural. I have followed her to many different salons because I don’t trust my hair with anyone else. You absolutely need to schedule all your future colorings with her. In addition to being amazing at coloring hair, she has a fun and positive personality that makes anyone feel right at home. I would give her more stars if they would let me.

This is a wonderful salon with a wide range of very experienced hair professionals. The shop is opened to outside air, safety precautions are observed and they take your temperature upon arrival. My appointment was scheduled online with Martha same day and they were ready for me right when I walked in the door. She was extremely friendly, made me feel comfortable and needed very little direction as I gave full freedom to style. I'm very happy I did because the end result was spectacular, looking great even when waking up is not easily accomplished. Now for the cons, Martha is not a barber so clippers were not available but this did not bother me in the slightest. Also the cost is high however you do get what you pay for and it is very much worth but I did feel it of note. Great hair sal

Tracy has been doing my balayage now for over a decade and I couldn't recommend her more highly. She is extremely fun and professional and consistently gives me the most gorgeous natural highlights. Everyone thinks I am a natural blonde - but I always have to correct them and send them to Tracy, the best colorist in the bay!
