My experience here has been great so far (6 months in!). The instructors are very down to earth, knowledgeable, entertaining and overall good at what they do. Every instructors characteristics and teaching style compliments the experience so well. My advice to anyone thinking about signing up is too just go for it! And when you're there, keep showing up for yourself. Ask questions wherever you may lose your footing. Speak up! For yourself. This school will set you up for success. It won't be easy. It will be fun. Just do it

I booked a 50 minutes massage today. I arrived 15 minutes late to my appointment and had tried calling twice beforehand, but no one answered. When I checked in, the front desk told me it was fine and that I could still receive my massage. The session was then cut down to 30 minutes, yet I was charged the full price. At no point did anyone inform me that I would receive less time while still paying the same amount. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. If this is your policy, it should be clearly communicated before the service begins so clients can decide whether to proceed. I graduated from the National Holistic Institute (NHI) in Emeryville in 2019, and it has truly been life changing. Ever since graduation, I’ve always had work opportunities, and I credit that to the solid training and guidance I received here. I’m so grateful for all the mentors and staff who give their all to help students grow and reach their best potential. A special thank you to mentors Katy Byrd, Kelly Seal, and Genevieve Moreno for their dedication and support. You guys have made such a lasting impact on my career and life!

I met with Juanita and Crystal to learn more about the NHI courses and curriculum, both of them were so welcoming and informative. It’s clear that the NHI campus is truly a community hub of healing. The campus is clean and beautiful. I’m still exploring my options but am grateful for Juanita and Crystal for their support and willingness to help.

This was my first visit to the NHI’s Student massage clinic and it was a very enjoyable experience from start to finish. I like that I was able to make my appointment online. I qualified for an incredible rate for a 50-minute Shiatsu/Swedish massage. The amount I paid guarantees I will be a repeat customer. They don’t accept tips but do request detailed feedback. Well the Student Massage Clinic in Emeryville rocks!! The architecture of this building is functional and spacious with a lot of natural light. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. The massage space is reminiscent of a day spa with curtained off massage rooms draped in white with a soothing soundtrack. You are given a choice of massage table or the floor. The students are very respectful and courteous.
