New Florence Salon

Lauren at New Florence is the absolute best! Everyone in my life knows her as my Hair Artist. Everything she does with my hair is so elevated. Her dry cutting method is rooted in deep knowledge and experience with curly hair growth patterns, and she brings out my hair’s natural texture and personality. I have thick wavy/curly hair. Every time I leave her chair I feel more like myself, and my hair feels free and cute. The cuts I get from Lauren grow out just as awesome as when they are freshly cut. I’m so grateful that we have her in the Bay Area. Before Lauren I often felt like hair stylists were trying to make my hair do things that it just didn’t do, which was always a frustrating experience. Now I get my hair cut with confidence and joy knowing that I will leave feeling more like myself

This review is a long time coming. I saw Wendy last year and she did an amazing job on my hair! She worked with me on the color, guiding me to assure the best result and it came out wonderful. I highly recommend Wendy and New Florence Salon!

New Florence Salon is in Emeryville on a quiet street with plenty of parking. Coffee/tea/sparkling water are available when you enter. Very low key place. Lauren does amazing curly cuts with minimal product; my hair retains its shape long after my visit, and I get tons of compliments. I am a return customer and highly recommend! So glad I found this place!

Cross posting this where I can because Lauren is amazing! I immediately felt calm and comfortable in her chair once we started the consultation. She took the time to provide me so much information on how I can better take care of my hair moving forward and I am so grateful. This is my first time doing a dry cut and I am in love. She also gave me the swoop bang I’ve always wanted without even asking so safe to say I trust her judgement. I’ve already booked for my next appointment and referred my partner to her since he has texture questions for his hair as well. So glad to have Lauren here at New Florence! This review is long overdue but 5 stars all around for Lauren Klein! Besides a haircut, I also went in hoping to learn more about how to care for my hair and what types of products I should be using. Lauren was a gem in all these areas. She was so kind and patient with my questions and helped me understand my hair texture. Left feeling confident about my relationship with my hair. Shout out to Lauren!
