I wish I could give 0 stars. I’ve been here before and walked out happy each time with my hair but not this time. It was terrible. I have shoulder length healthy curly hair and I requested for a chocolate brown color. First pic was my hair, second pic is what I requested and third pic is what the stylist was going to have me walk out as and I told her it was too light and to go put toner on it and last pic was what I actually walked out as but definitely not what I asked for. I paid $180 and I was there for 4 hours. I wanted to get my hair done for upcoming trip and stylist Chari ruined my hair. My curls are completely damaged due to the bleach and the heat. I repeatedly told her I don’t like a lot of heat on my hair and she didn’t have to straighten it but all she said was “it’s okay girl

My experience at Serene is always great! I usually get set up with Christine and she’s always so sweet and friendly! Everyone that works there is nice and they have great customer service. I look forward to going to this salon to get my hair cut and styled; not to mention, they’re a *full service* salon and you don’t have to come with your hair partially prepared for your appointment- they will wash your hair and deep condition for you. (Their MHT is also amazing, it really did amazing things for my hair, ex: softer, more moisturized, stronger) You can always count on this salon to be clean, professional, and to come out looking good.

Everyone tells you how important self-care is, but you wonder how to find time for it. The answer is that you make time for it. I have been going to Serene for over a decade and a half! Christine makes it an entire experience. Not only do I leave feeling like a new person, but the wisdom that she instills upon me is priceless. Going to Serene allows me to make time for my self-care by getting My Hair Care Treatment, and my beautician reminds of the great importance of self-love at the same time. Christine teaches me something new about my hair every time I visit the salon. My hairstyle is lasting evening longer due to her taking extra time to teach me to pin-curl my hair! After a week I still have great curls! Thank you Serene for providing me with so much love and care!

I have been going to Serene's for YEARS. 3-4 years I have been going consistently to get better hair health. It WORKED very much. Below there are two pictures of what my hair looks like now and it's in a very good place. And that's because of Ms.Sherri's massive knowledge on hair health. Every 6 months I was given a hair treatment so that my hair stayed hydrated never dry and a straight texture. The treatment has NO CHEMICALS. My hair is so conditioned by the treatment, and has grown a lot and stays pretty dang straight. Any time I had a part in the middle of my head that broke more Sherri trimmed it very well while also helping me keep my length. Ok Ladies, time for another honest review! I went to Chari for my hair. She did a beautiful French roll on me with a few added tracks. I was very pleased with the results. Chari had a wonderful energy and she was a good conversationalist. She was very accommodating. The only complaint I have is that she glued the tracks directly only scalp/hair. I’ve never had a glue in before, as I have been natural my entire life. Maybe this is normal but I prefer no glue on my hair. Also I had to go buy an bundle when I had already brought hair (it was synthetic but the good kind), and she didn’t use that much of it anyways, so I basically wasted money on a bundle (I don’t have any further use for it).
