Salon 809 - A Dominican Hair Salon

I visited this salon, because they're running a special for their 10th anniversary; $30 Wash & Set. I was excited, based on the bubbly spirit of the owner in the promo videos. I even shared the info w/a friend (referred on a hunch, because I'd never been to this salon and couldn't fully vouch for the quality). We booked appointments for today, 10-03-2025. My appointment was 12:45 p.m. I arrived @ 12:40. There was a client checking out at the front. I stood behind her, but visible to the receptionist, who never acknowledged me. The checkout process w/the woman ahead of me was lengthy because she was asking questions and her card declined when she tried to pay. Hi guys so I normally don’t leave reviews but I have to. I am Dominican and this salon is pretty Dominican which is why I gravitated towards it and took a leap of faith for basic highlights! The girls are pleasant, the pricing is clear but the final product I wanted to cry when I placed my hair in the light and I was specific I wanted the same brown honey color but my hair is orange. I am conservative with my hair it was clear when I arrived but when I left my grays “which is the main reason I dye my hair” were still showing I have improper blend and yes this is partial highlights but my black root should not be showing this much. I am just sad because I never have the courage to say listen this job just looks rushed and very un thought off. Overall it may be just one bad highlight experie

I am a first time customer- scheduled a last minute appointment. Angelia (wash) and Yoca (styling) serviced me today. Yoca did a beautiful job on my hair. I told her to style as she liked and she did a great job! Service was quick- I was in and out in no time! I will definitely be back.

I’m from NC and flew into Maryland for the weekend, and I needed my hair done. This was my first time at this salon, and I have no complaints at all! The shop is super clean, the staff is friendly, and they use high end products. I was very impressed and will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

My first time coming and I had the best experience! My hair turned out amazing! Ignacia shampooed my hair so good - I needed a good washing! Angelica straightened my hair and my hair never felt so healthy!
