I took my family to Berkeley Springs for the long weekend. Made a reservation for all three of us to get a massage. Honestly I was a little worried based on the previous reviews but we went for it. First of all, this is not a fancy spa, it is an older building that is also run by the WV State Parks. So you need to keep that in mind. There is only so much the people that work there can do about the state of the facility. Checking in was smooth. After a short wait, Nathan took us to the back where he showed us a small area, curtained area, where we could change and put our things inside small lockers. I've never had a bad experience here. I booked a 60-minute massage. My therapist was Lily, and she was terrific. (Oddly though, she didn't massage my arms and hands. Maybe we ran out of time.) Each massage includes a 15-minute pre-soak in the hot mineral waters Berkeley Springs is known for. And contrary to what another reviewer said, the soak does not cut into your massage time. That's why they tell you to arrive 20 minutes before your appointment time. (If you arrive right at the time, then yes, it probably does shorten your massage.) Prices are terrific, and they offer a senior discount. A massage back home would be two to three times higher. And would not include the soak.

Healing waters from the hot mineral springs. Private pools with robes, slippers, and water. They also offer massage, cupping, sauna, paraffin wax hand treatment. Showers and locker rooms available, free of charge. It's so rejuvenating and the state park employees are wonderful. Very reasonably priced. You can buy a gallon of the water to drink for only $1.

My wife got us appointments for my Birthday. Really enjoyed the Bath. It looked like they really focus on cleanliness, which makes me feel better about a public bath house. We got the chair massages and it was amazing after relaxing in the hot water. Definitely a great place for special occasion!

Imagine you’re my sister. You go to get a deep tissue massage with your boyfriend for your anniversary. You get a masseuse named Terra. Right before your massage you start to take off your robe and she says to wait so she can leave the room. Sure, of course! You do. During the massage, you lift your arm to move a piece of your hair. Apparently you’re supposed to warn your masseuse or ask for their holy permission or something because if you don’t, and a NIPPLE crosses their line of vision, they will cut your massage short, say nothing to you, accuse you of sexual assault and TRAUMATIZING THEM, and then STILL try to charge you for a full massage with no conversation at all. She found this out when her boyfriend tried to ask why her massage had been cut short. To get a refund from this place
