Unfortunately, my experience at this store was very unpleasant. When I asked to see some rings, a staff member named Mariana suddenly stopped helping me and went over to her colleague after she said something. They both clearly started talking about me while looking in my direction. This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. It’s unacceptable to be treated like this as a customer. Additionally, when I went to return an item I had previously purchased, I was told they couldn’t give me my refund because they “didn’t have enough cash in the register.” It made no sense — the same amount was no problem when I paid, but suddenly an issue when it had to be refunded. I had to ask for the manager, and I was forced to wait 35 minutes just to get my own money back. This is incredibly frust

Yesterday I did a return here that had to go directly to the red customer service counter. This was 5 minutes after opening and a young lady with black curly hair helped me. I had to go to the "customer service" counter because the person in the shoe department was too polite to tell me that I was trying to return something WAAAAAYYYY outside of store policy. The employee in customer service, explained to me how Macy's taking something back outside of TWO return policy rules affected them as my my return was no longer viable for them to sell or get credit... blah-blah-blah and, yet they would take them as a one time favor to me. An iconic store at a prime location. Brightly lit and beautifully decorated for the holidays. It evokes feelings of good-old-days, celebration and joy. Walking through the isles, checking clothes, household items, jewelry and whatever else, perhaps buying a few items can be therapeutic in the midst of restrictions and feeling of isolation brought on by COVID.

I went here because my friend needed to shop with a friend of his and I sat over at the Starbucks cafe while I waited. It was perfect! The food was really good, and there was a pretty place to sit with plugs in front of the window. The reason I wanted to write a review though was the barista! I think her name was Lexi? (Hoping I got that right). She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. She was super nice and sweet, helpful, and brought the food and drinks over to me after I sat down. She also asked if I needed anything a few times while I was there. If I didn’t live an hour away I’d honestly come here just for her / this Starbucks. Definitely will come back if I end up back in Palo Alto!!!
