Huaxia Massage Therapy

My mom and I came here for a 90-minute deep tissue massage, and while the massage itself was excellent, the checkout experience completely ruined it. Our bill was $200 for the standard service + $20 for deep tissue [total cost for both of us], which is fine. However, when my mom went to tip, she wanted to leave 20% — but they refused and forced her to leave a 30% tip instead. I was still in the massage room at the time, so she felt pressured and paid it before I could come out and speak up. We didn’t realize this was a recurring issue until we checked other reviews afterward, and it looks like this has been happening to other customers for a long time. Tipping should be a choice, not something forced on customers at checkout. It’s extremely unprofessional; we highly DO NOT recommend this

Massage was great, but the front desk pushed us to give a 30% tip and when i refused she strated attacking me with older receipts and forcing us to leave more tip. I wanted to give 20% tip and she got aggressive. Even switched our payment method so she could add tax to the total bill. Never going back after the traumatic experience.

I’ve been coming here for years and always look forward to my monthly massage. Every therapist I’ve seen is great—super strong pressure, very clean environment, and the prices are really reasonable for the quality. That said, I’m leaving 2 stars because I’ve consistently felt uncomfortable about the tipping situation. Over the last few visits, I’ve been told—directly—that I had to leave a 30% tip, even when I was already planning to leave 20%, which is a standard and generous amount. It’s made the end of each visit feel awkward, and I’ve ended up tipping more than I wanted to just to avoid conflict. I love the massages here and want to keep coming back, but tipping should always be up to the customer without pressure.

So I used to come here often because it was cheaper than chain massage locations. However it can be hard to communicate with the masseuse (don’t come here for your first massage especially if you are nervous or afraid to undress!) and they will haggle you for a bigger tip (and I believe tipping culture is getting out of control anyways). So overall I found that it’s better to just pay the extra at a chain massage business for the quality.

I absolutely love coming to this place for massage. This is by far the best massage experience I've ever had. All the staffs are super friendly and always make me feel welcomed. They are highly skilled and professional. Every time I get massage here, I walk out feeling relaxed and new.
