I’ve been coming to this salon for over 10 years, and while the results are usually fine, I left my last appointment feeling really uncomfortable. I asked a few questions about area foils—what they are, how they work, and why I was charged extra last time—but the stylist seemed annoyed that I even asked. When I asked for hairstyle tips to help with age-related thinning, she told me I should use Rogaine. It felt dismissive and hurtful. Getting my hair done is a big expense for me, and I just want to feel welcomed, not judged or brushed off. I wish salons understood how far a little kindness can go. PS she left it a total stripe-y weird mess and I guess that’s what I get for asking questions.

I have been coming to Hairapy ever since moving to Mahwah. The staff are professional, friendly and always accommodating to make every visit a positive experience. The cost is fair and reasonable. My hair always looks great whether it’s a cut, blowout or color.

Went to get my hair done and Jessica did an AMAZING JOB! All the staff was friendly and they really take their time with you. I love my hair and will be returning again!
