Evanescence Massage & Skin Studio

Had a great experience at Evanescence. I’ve had deep tissue massages before, and most of them were just painful. Karen had just the right touch to create both a relaxing and therapeutic experience. As a physician who specializes both in anesthesia and pain medicine, I could appreciate her excellent technique when it came to myofascial release. She was able to isolate and target my problem areas, without me even telling her where they were prior to the massage. The entire experience stimulates all of the senses- from the hot stones, peppermint scents, to the tranquil music. I was gifted this massage as a birthday gift, and it was by far the best gift I received. I look forward to incorporating more massages in my self-care routine. I highly recommend Evanescence!

I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience at Evanescence. I came to Katie for an ASMR “drift” session and ASMR facial as part of a relaxing birthday gift to myself. The experience beyond incredible! Probably the most comfortable I have ever felt from any spa service. Katie creates a full sensory experience incorporating massage, energy work, light touch, sensory tools, aromatherapy, sound healing, and light therapy into her sessions. I am so glad I found her studio and I cannot wait to return!! If you’re into ASMR focused body work, definitely give this a try!

This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing massage experiences I’ve ever had. I clearly explained my needs — focus on my shoulders, no elbows — yet the therapist ignored my instructions for nearly an hour, focusing elsewhere in a painfully slow and ineffective manner. Instead of adjusting to my needs, she lectured me about her own limitations and burnout, suggested shortening the session after I expressed discomfort, and then tried to extend it again without addressing my concerns. At the end, she gave an unsolicited lecture about energy work, suggesting I could benefit from it despite the fact that my pain was not addressed at all. She also overcharged me and decided to hand me back the remaining balance in cash, which I found unprofessional and inappropriate. I still tipped 2

I recently had the Rooted with Scalp Balm ASMR treatment and absolutely loved it. The experience used light touch and a variety of sensory tools, and it was incredibly relaxing from start to finish. Katie was wonderful, warm, friendly, and made the whole experience feel very comfortable. I will definitely be returning.

I tried her ASMR massage and it was exactly like the ones you see all over social media, in the best way. It was incredibly relaxing, and she used a variety of tools that gave those head-to-toe tingles the entire time. I felt completely at ease, and by the end my brain felt like it could finally shut off. I walked out feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed. This was such a unique experience and I can’t recommend her enough.
