Djama Africa Hair Braiding

Today was our first time and we are SO pleased. We arrived at opening as a walk in and were greeted by 3 lovely hair braiders. It a small and friendly atmosphere, just women. No loud music or videos which have bothered my calm at other braiding studios. The knotless braids are beautiful and we will come here now regularly. I highly recommend this studio and it’s braiders.

Great service. Fast, friendly, best braiding in the bay area to me. I’ve been getting my hair done here for almost twenty years and I have never had in complaints.

If I had known, I would have asked that they not braid my hair in the tiniest sections. It took me easily 20 hours to take down all of the braids which felt like a mop on my head for six weeks. But after paying $200, I wanted to keep them in. Every single braid had a knot in it which pulled out so much hair (see photo). This is advice not criticism. 😊

The staff is so kind and they provide excellent service. I have been a faithful customer for years and my hair always looks amazing.

First of all, I got same-day appointment within an hour. When I went into the shop. The ladies were awesome. They greeted me even though my hair did not come out like the picture. It came out way better. Fatima did my hair and a little over 2 hours. I have very thin hair and my head hurts after break. However I can honestly say I do not feel any pain. Any tension? The ladies were amazing. I definitely will be going back. The price was great
