Cherokee Tribune

This was my Grandmother's house. My family sold the house to the Cherokee Tribune over 40 years ago. I have fond memories of growing up here in this once home. The cellar is the most beautiful feature. My grandmother stored her canned jellies and vegetables in the cellar. Oh how I miss my sweet grandmother Lora Alice Harbin with all of my heart. This house will always carry special memories for me always.

This paper was light on news and mostly advertisements and inserts when I received it. I do enjoy reading the headlines while in line at the convenience store, but that’s about all I need from it. The one star comes from the fact that I cancelled my subscription over two years ago, and they continue to call me, like clockwork, every three months. Each time the caller says “oh it’s my first time I’ve ever called you,” and “I’ll add you to the do not call list.” Each time I also block their number on my phone. Yet I continue to receive the phone calls. Leave me alone!
