Changes Family Hair Salon

I would recommend Changes Family hair salon to anyone looking for a professional, clean, inviting salon that has caring stylists who do great work. My mom passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly and her funeral was Tuesday March 29th. After making funeral arrangements and getting past the shock of losing my mom I realized at the last minute that I desperately needed a hair cut and my greys covered (it had been almost 3 years since I had had a hair cut or done anything with my hair)before my moms showing on Tuesday morning. After calling every salon I could think of in the Ohio Valley on Monday I did a google search for salons near me to see if there were any open that I just hadn’t heard of or been to before. This was my first time in Changes but not my first time to see Rachel. The atmosphere inside was bustling with chatter and all around were friendly face both from staff and clientele. The salon area is wide open and gorgeous to look at but sitting in the chair hoping to relax while I chatted with my hairdresser was almost impossible. The lack of dividers in the high ceiling salon area carried sound from every direction. After a long day I was looking forward to relaxing while there but I am thankful that whoever opened this place has such an active atmosphere. I have been seeing Rachel for a while now and she is the only person that I trust to cut my curly hair. She is never in a hurry and takes her time to make sure I have a great hairstyle everytime.

Apparently they dont understand that color does not lift color. I had dark brown hair, wanted to go red. She put red on top of my brown so all it did was give me hot roots bc she was too lazy to bleach my hair which I woulda paid for. My daughter then had the same stylist which was Shannon. She had red hair and went brown. All Shannon did was put the brown on top of it which bleeds through when it fades. I didn't even go to cosmetology school and I know this stuff but apparently these people don't. They just wanna hurry and get you outta there.

My favorite salon because you get what you want and if they think you'll look bad, they're honest enough to tell you. Jen G my favorite hairdresser. I always receive compliments on my hairdo.
