Barbers Above the Gym

Amazing experience! I have very thick, long hair and haven’t had much luck finding a great barber lately but these guys are incredible. Super friendly, tons of fun, and hilarious too. They even keep cold ones in the fridge for customers! Plus, he was full of information and gave me tons of tips on hair care and styling. Can’t recommend them highly enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Barbers Above the Gym is 100% the best barber I have experienced. Tim and Matt are elite barbers and people. After moving back to Minneapolis I tried several barbers and wasn't satisfied with the haircuts. I tried Barbers Above the Gym based off their reviews and they are absolutely true. I have been going back for two years and have been extremely satisfied with the quality of haircut and attention Tim and Matt have given me. In addition to the excellent quality of haircut, Tim and Matt are really good people. They value their clients and I have enjoyed getting to know them.

Come for getting your hairs cut, stay for the niche music, television, movie, and cultural references (circa 1990-2010 era, with a unique and not at all unsettling emphasis on Paul Reubens.) Remember season 4, episode 22 of Newsradio that asked "What if WNYX was the Titanic?" BA the G answers the question "What if The Hard Times™ was a barbershop?" Tim and Matt's witty banter is sure to entertain, provided you a) enjoy things that are objectively funny, and b) there is no b). I can personally vouch that I've never left a visit with hair the same length or longer than when I arrived; which is my primary requirement when getting a hair cut.

There's an old saying that states a great haircut for a man embiggens his spirit. The service and banter is more than cromulent. I would absolutely reccomend this place to all. A+
