A Healing Haven

I've been going to Joy's for months to do somatic therapy. I've never felt better. Joy gives actionable, real, helpful exercises that I can do in my life to manage whatever symptoms or systems are blocking my way. During a visit, we discover what I need. We practice those exercises, whether it be a breathing exercise or journalling or a yoga pose or a new way of thinking, in office and then I can take them home where they make a huge difference. Her ability and license to flex between talk therapy, somatic therapy, massage work, and other modalities is also incredibly helpful as needs change week to week. Would recommend for anyone, especially those new to being in therapeutic spaces.

Joy…. She is arrogantly okay to heal my inner beaten raven. Or humbly then best maybe overly qualified maybe to heal the hatred for the green v the giants. The fact that I have to say that thought speaks volumes as her skill set would indicate . I haven’t seen her long enough to be like x -> y but when you are one like me to even believe there could be a y , when y was asymptomatically existentially adjacent because there is no positive so how could a positive be derived from a secondary or tertiary, so l currently see an x is extremely high on my non-negotiable list and it was automatic on her if she didn’t even have a chance to do 25% of her best. She also is from my observation and understanding knowledgeable a lot more than what she is helping me with. Umm. In concise terms: 1. Learns

Over a series of sessions, Joy is helping me shift out of stress mode by fostering my own inner somatic resource. With her as a witness to my process we have unearthed long held beliefs, which has begun to dissolve persistent problematic behavior patterns. Gradually I’m shifting into more consistent self care and balance. Tending emotions, the body’s awareness and soul questions with Joy, I emerge from sessions feeling lighter, more grounded and clearer about making choices. Joy had created a space that embodies her presence of peace and hope for healing. I had an unbelievably positive experience that my body is still processing days later.

Joy is an extremely skilled and knowledgeable massage therapist. She is able to understand what may be at root of your pain or problem for your visit and does so in a warm and caring environment. I have seen multiple local massage therapists in the past, with mixed results. I must say that Joy is by far the best I have seen to date and feel fortunate to have found her. After my first visit I felt totally relaxed and had a wonderful night of sleep. I highly recommend Joy and look forward to my next massage.
