I went to get my hair coloured and a cut. I called beforehand and was told for colouring for just single colour without highlight costs $75 and long hair cut for also $75, but at the end by paying the bill he told me colouring costed $160. it is more than twice as much the price I was told on the phone, and the reason he told me was he had to use more hair colouring cream/dye for my chest length long hair. It’s to me not reasonable. My bill came down to around $275 including the tip he asked! The stylst seems over 65 year of age and I ended up looking much older than my age with the style from the 70s. Certainly not worth the price.

A great place for highlights and coloring. Haircuts, however, specifically for men, are out usual price range, costing about $50. I recommend this salon for coloring, for each of the stylists seem very dedicated to their work. I came to get my blonde highlights redone and I am more than happy with the results.

I have been going to Akane Salon for years. My hairstylist is Aki. He is so precise, and attentive. The whole Japanese salon experience is a treat. You walk in and they take you towards the back to wash your hair. You get a head massage while shampooing and rinsing. The chair itself is elevated to make the whole experience even better. Once you sit down, they listen to what you want and go from there. I have never seen someone cut hair and revise it so thoroughly as Aki. He's amazing.

Aki is coloring and cutting my hair for 11 years, I am pleased with his work and will go back when it opens again. Very professional.
