Wilson’s Barbershop is hands-down the best barbershop I’ve ever been to. From day one, Akil, the owner, has been my go-to barber—and for good reason. Every cut is sharp, precise, and exactly what I want. The vibe, the energy, and the way Akil and the team connect with the community make it feel authentically rooted in the city. Akil’s talent and attention to detail are unmatched, and he makes every visit enjoyable. Walking out of Wilson’s, you feel fresh, confident, and part of something real. For anyone looking for top-tier barbering, this is the spot.
I love this place!!! Carlos aka Los Papi is the best barber I’ve ever had! The shop has cool vibes and is always a good time. All the barbers that work there are talented and good people. 10/10 recommend!
I went into Wilsons, needing my hair fixed after a bad haircut from another shop. They did a FANTASTIC job fixing it and making it look nice. Extremely funny barber, too. Highly recommended to anyone in the area or passing by
I made an appointment at this barbershop to support a Black-owned business like I usually do. I booked with Jerod, arrived 15 minutes early, and patiently waited. My appointment time came and went. No explanation. I asked if I’d still be seen—another barber assured me, “Jerod will call you shortly.” The customer before me left. 10 more minutes. Still no Jerod. I asked if someone else could cut my hair since I needed to return to work. They sent me to an apprentice. I figured, okay, maybe he knows what he’s doing. I was wrong. I got home, and my husband took one look at me and screamed, “Purée!!!” The left side of my face was steeply cleaned. I didn’t ask for that. The right side? Uneven, untrimmed—a complete disaster. For $45 haircut on very short hair. It was a fair deal. I expected a
I got a haircut june 20 (yesterday) , one of the barbers took care of my cut, we where besides the owner. At first I was surprised by all the directions given to the barber from the next sit. It took almost 1 and a half. This complain isn't about the time or that the fact that he was new and obviously didn't have experience. It's about the cuts that the barber made to my forehead, in both sides with the razor . At first I try to reach the owner by calling and sending the pictures but the actual barber answered the phone. So I not sure if the owner knows about this complain. I wpukd say that he would have handled it in a best way to a client that paid 60$ for the worst hair cut in 37 years.
