The Wall Street Journal auto-renewed a digital subscription that was previously $4 per month, and then upped the subscription fee this over $41 per month at the end of their trial period. There is no way to cancel their digital subscription online (via their website, email, or chat) and they refuse to offer cancelation via their automated phone system outside of their normal business hours. This practice of limiting the ability to cancel is specifically so they can make it prohibitively difficult after you're locked in at the higher price, and requires interacting with a phone salesperson who attempts to hard-sell you on a renewal again -- and only during their business hours M-F, or very limited hours on Saturday. This is manipulative, and a bad faith way to attempt to retain customers

I get that WSJ needs to charge for their articles but the monthly subscription is outrageously priced. Plus they make it nearly impossible to cancel and keep selling you when your mind is made up. It’s definitely overpriced but I wish they made it easier to cancel.

You will regret subscribing due to their very poor customer service! They simply don't answer their phone, and they don't accept subscription cancellation requests by phone, via email, through their customer service chat line, or through their online site, even after you've signed in. So there is NO WAY to cancel your subscription. So they can keep charging you $20 a month for something you no longer want. Quite a racket.

WSJ used to be 100% reliable. I travel for work and have had occasion to stop delivery and one address and begin at another address for months at a time. They were customer friendly ,fast and efficient. When I returned to my address in Northern California last week the paper was to have been switched to this address. I have received two papers since last Thursday I contacted customer service on Wednesday. "Jackie" apologized extended my service for the non delivery days and advised me that they would contact the local delivery service to correct the problem. When I received no paper on Thursday. I used the "Live Chat" line. I was once again told that they would contact the local delivery service . When I had no paper today, Friday I called Customer Service and spoke to "Josh".

Terrible and way too pricey! I fired WSJ today! The digital app ends up costing $440 per year! That is over $36 a month for digital information. You can get the same information for free the same day. Don't get fooled, its a scam, save your money. Run away from WSJ!
