Unwind Wellness – Adams Morgan

My experience at Unwind Wellness has been absolutely lovely. It truly is the best place to unwind and take care of yourself. Every time I walk in, I immediately feel relaxed and welcomed. The staff are so friendly and kind. Evelli, the young lady at the front desk, always makes me feel so welcome and appreciated. She brings such a warm energy to the place. Carol, the esthetician, has been incredibly dedicated and patient during my sessions. She takes her time, explains everything, and makes sure I feel comfortable throughout the entire process. It’s always such a treat to be there, and I genuinely look forward to every visit. I’m so grateful for the wonderful experience every time. 💙✨ Happy Valentine’s 🌈🥰✨

Booked a 30 min massage while on vacation in DC. They got me in quickly, I was immediately greeted with kindness, free water, free chocolate and a relaxing atmosphere. I waited no more than about 2 min before my massage therapist Yalem was available. She was warm, welcoming, and professional. She asked me how much pressure I’d preferr. I said hard and she definitely executed perfectly 👌 I have thick chronic knots in my shoulders and neck and she went to TOWN on them. She was so sweet after; telling me to drink water and I’ll feel better soon. Another highlight was the lavender scented towel she placed over my eyes ❤️. I felt like a sleepy, floaty, jellyfish after. So good 100/10 recommend if you’re in the area and have 30 min to spare. And it was very fairly priced!

Unwind has been my massage go-to for a few years now. They have fairly standard, reasonable rates for the area, and I have yet to run into a bad or unskilled massage therapist here. They’re open evenings throughout the week (which I love as a night owl) and they often have same-day appointments available until mid-afternoon (which I love as a person with chronic migraine). I have had exactly one less-than-great experience here, and after mentioning it in an internal feedback mechanism, Unwind addressed it pretty thoroughly (like I was a lil embarrassed by the attention lol) and went above and beyond to rectify things. I get signature messages and like medium pressure. I’ve probably seen a third of the massage therapists at some point, but my faves are Armando (great all around, no notes)

I’ve been to Unwind Wellness several times now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places for bodywork in DC. If you’re looking for massage therapists who actually do real work, this is the place. I’ve seen both Helen and Heajin, and they are exceptional in different but complementary ways. Helen is incredible for deep tissue, especially hip work. She goes deep, she’s effective, and she is not afraid to work through tension. This is not a light, spa-style massage. It’s therapeutic, intentional, and results-driven. Exactly what I want. Heajin specializes in Thai and lymphatic massage, and she is phenomenal. Thai massage is more like assisted stretching, and she incorporates it beautifully. She also took time to explain lymphatic flow, gave me tips on how to support it at home,

OK, REWIND! Unwind Wellness has won me and my partner over. We really haven't stopped daydreaming about our experience ever since and are looking forward to our next spa date. We had such a pleasant encounter with the receptionist, Nicole, from the moment we walked in and were placed with 2 masseuses who were top-tier and gifted with the art of touch. Our couples massage was beyond rejuvenating and serene for each of us and we were truly able to decompress (and leave a lot of muscle knots behind on the table)! We both left feeling SO much lighter, connected within our bodies and to each other, and grateful we accepted the offer to give Unwind another chance.
