First, this may be the worst hair cut I have ever had. Based on other reviews, I believed that they would have the ability to cut curly hair. If you have textured hair run far away. My cut was absolutely terrible, completely uneven and results in a significant different in lengths. It was so bad I did not have a confidence in their ability, and will be finding someone else to fix it. This will likely result in me needing to have 4 inches cut off to even it out. Second, I made an appointment but was passed off to a different stylist. The stylist I had booked was there, but I believe decided to take a friend instead.

I just went in for a trim, and Lorena met me at the door with such a fabulously rich shade of purple hair that I ended up getting the same shade along with the cut. Lorena is an artist! She used bleach sparingly (I'm a brunette) for highlights and the result is gorgeous! The pixie cut I left with is both super cute and super chic (depending on how it's styled)! The best part about Lorena is how friendly and fun she is! I moved to DC last year, and I have found my go-to hair salon. Thank you, Lorena!!

Best haircut I’ve ever gotten in my life , I explained what I wanted to her and she executed it beautifully. Sad to say I’m a tourist and won’t be coming back to DC any time soon but if you are in Washington DC area and need an amazing haircut go to Lorena at Universal Hair Salon. Price was right, Hair cut and style was fabulous. She is the best stylist I could’ve ever asked for. Love my new look !! Thank you Lorena !!

Love this place— got my haircut here and then jumped on an overnight flight outside the country, got off the plane after like an 18 hour travel day and my hair still looks amazing, AND I made my appointment literally the last minute.
