I love this salon! Whenever I get the opportunity I refer people here. I’ve been serviced by a few stylist but my absolute favorite is Yvonne. When she colors my head, I get compliments from everybody, no exaggeration! She is excellent at hearing what you want and executing it. I never know what I’m asking for yet she always delivers! They truly care about your hair care, and the leave-in moisturizer they sale is divine.

Tavi played in my 11 year old heads she started off with twist then started braiding never let her play in your kids head cuz that’s what she does. The shop owner rude all over the place and took 3 hours and still didn’t finish my son’s hair and has the nerve to still be trying to charge my card. I’m getting a lawyer because my sons hair is damaged I asked for starter locs with two strand twist and tavi who don’t know what’s she doing did instant locs all sizes just so disappointing and my kids start school Monday. NEVER BOOK HERE • Appointment originally scheduled for 2:00 PM, switched by the salon to 3:00 PM the day before, stating a different stylist would work better with children. • Two deposits were charged to my card: $47.50 and $42.50. • Total quoted service cost: $180. • Services

I hate to write this review with such a low rating because everyone I worked with was so kind and accommodating, even when I was delayed. I was in the shop for a silk press and a trim. The stylist wrapped it for me before I left because it had just finished raining. I unwrapped it this morning and I am so shocked and disappointed in how this style turned out. Not only were my ends barely trimmed, they are rough and extremely frizzy. My edges are still curly, and my hair is so dry that I had to completely oil and restyle my own hair this morning. I spent $145 on a style that I will have to completely redo before my trip. Again, while everyone here was so, so kind I am so disappointed to have paid this much for this result.

Let me begin by saying that I don’t typically take the time to write reviews, but Twist It Sistas deserves all the shine. I have had my fair share of negative experiences trying to find a loctician in the DC area. Thus far, Twist it Sistas has been the most professional, quick to respond, and timely when it comes to appointments. Also, their prices are reasonable with quality work. Yvonne was great and I felt like I was in good hands. Good positive vibes all around in this shop.

TIFFANY HAS HANDS OF GOLD! By far the best hair experience I’ve ever had! I am in the shop every 3-4 weeks for loc maintenance. Before I transitioned to locs, I had two strand twists and braided styles! ALWAYS WONDERFUL! ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL!
