Troy Plaza Nails

This place has been my go to for about 2 years. The prices are very fair and they always do a great job on the pedicures. Every single woman who works here is welcoming, nice, diligent, and friendly. I don’t get anything fancy, just regular pedicures and sometimes gel manicures. They always do a great job and my gel manicures always last at least 10-11 days without lifting at the corners. If you’re going after work, like around 5-6ish, I’d highly recommend making an appointment, but if you go during the day, even on weekends, there is normally no wait.

I used to really like this place, until someone screwed up my nails badly. After a few days of a gel nail application, my nails started chipping like it was regular nail polish. I called, and they said that they would take care of it. I have to add the woman who did the gel nail job that chipped my nails also filed the old polish off of my nails so much they were paper thin and I was NOT happy about that, either. I figured, well people make mistakes and they said they would take care of it, so imagine my surprise when they said it wasn't free when it was done. I said but it is your Salon's fault that they had to be done over (every nail was chipped by then!!) and my nails were made paper thin!! She said I chose another color. This was the worst experience of MY life, as well as being very expensive for the poor and absolutely horrible job done. I called to set an appointment for dip powder and got there 30 min early where they started me right away. as she was removing previous work she kept trying to force me to get gel but that is not what i called for nor wanted on my nails. i was then switched to another lady that did not thin out the tip or even out the powder before top coat after i already asked twice, I asked a third time and she said it was due to the other lady putting thick tips on...i have my cosmo license and you can file down a tip and thin out the sides.. she also filed into my cuticle area cutting some skin and when cleaning my actual cuticle cut me 2 times one so bad where i yelled ow and start

Three different nails with Gel Polish peeled off the very next day. My mother and I go there almost monthly if not bi monthly for manicures and pedicures together. This time I decided to get a pedicure and GEL manicure for my vacation. $62 for both services. Three different nails had peeled before I arrived at the airport less then 24 hours later. The day I returned from my trip (international so could not call) I went directly up to the nail salon and showed them photos and videos of my nails. They told me they would fix my manicure. AFTER finishing my nails they wanted to charge me $20 because they fixed the whole manicure not just 3 fingers when this was NEVER stated before the start of the service. If I could give them a zero that it would be. It's a Korean run nail salon. Very poor service, I would never go there again, don't waste your money. They push gel nail polish on you, even if you don't want it. I took my mom there, to be honest I don't get my nails done at salons but I needed my mom's to be done for a wedding. I told them to clean her nails and to please take off the dead cuticles. But she didn't, she just cut and started to polish her nails. They were even making fun of my mom in Korean, they think I understood them. I ask to speak with the manager, she told me to get her from the back. I think they forgot I'm a paying customer.
