The Waxing Room

I booked online and showed up for an appointment today only to find out a hair salon was in their suit and has been for months! I tried calling them and it didn’t even ring! It just said the inbox was full! I think maybe they are gone and didn’t close down their online bookings! Or apparently their google information because that says they are open right now and I can guarantee they are not at the address listed!

I have been a loyal customer at the Waxing Room for years. My last appointment was very unusual as the person I scheduled with was not there, rather it was the owner. (I knew right away something was up because the usual girls were SO GOOD about communication if an appointment had to be changed) The service I got was terrible, it honestly seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. I was there much longer than usual and there was little waxing completed. You couldn't even tell she waxed anything. She seemed nice, but something was off. I hope she's okay, but without the good service that her loyal customers are used to it will not take long for this business to fall apart. I was so disheartened and so disappointed. I was there a few weeks ago for an appointment. When I arrived, the door to the facility was locked. At first I convinced myself that maybe it was because they were helping another client and it was 6 at night, so they would come when they were finished. After several calls, I eventually left. Then they texted me to reschedule, and when I asked for a day, they didn’t respond to me. A few days later I received a text that they will be closed for at least a week. I had a great time the first time I was there, but now I may not ever come back.

I had never been waxed before I started going to the waxing room, so the nerves were hitting hard. I had questions that the staff was more than happy to answer before I set my first appointment. Every visit has been great. I personally get waxed below the belt. They're professional and comforting about the whole process. The tables are comfortable, Mackenzie and I always have great conversations while she does fantastic work, and the prices are very reasonable. I will and have continued to return! Love the great work they provide!

I have been going to the waxing room for almost 10 years and I have never had a worse experience than my most recent visit. The room and table were dirty. There was used wax and a used glove on the dirty floor. There was very little wax in the pot and it contained broken sticks. My normal aesthetician was not there, rather, it was the owner and she did not seem well. Further, she did not fully wax all my hair. It’s so sad to see her create such a successful business, only to run it into the ground.
