The Village Salon

I’ve been going to the Village Salon for almost three years. I found them because they sell Aveda products. I’ve been an Aveda customer for many years so they understand the natural style I want for my hair. Everyone on the staff expresses incredible kindness and all the down to earth qualities of a community oriented business. I think what impresses me most is that I have never heard a word of gossip spoken there. Stylists and clients catch up with one another like friends with built-in lunch dates throughout the year but the conversation is always positive. I asked my stylist about this once and she said that a small percentage of what they do is hair care, the rest involves creating an atmosphere that is welcoming to clients. I was wowed today. My appointment was cancelled same day because my stylist was sick. I went in to see about at least being able to get a cut the same day due to a holiday event coming up. I was squeezed in later in the day and received probably the best haircut of my life by Katie! I was rescheduled for my color for a week out and given a 50% discount due to the inconvenience. That is excellent service which is hard to find these days. I’m very grateful! And as a new resident to the area, to have found a new salon.

Salon Booking an appointment is fast, easy, and convenient whether it be online or over the phone, and the website is detailed, informative, and easy to navigate. The salon is light, open, and very clean located in the heart of the charming town where there is ample parking in their lot as well as on the street. The staff is helpful, friendly, accommodating, and welcoming! Karen, the owner has cut my hair twice and is as warm and sweet as can be! She offers honest advice and hair care tips creating a highly positive experience! She is a talented, skilled professional who combines technical proficiency with her science of hair knowledge to help the client achieve their healthy hair goals-listening to the client to expertly craft a hair style based on the client’s expectations, face shape,

I am so glad I tried Village Salon for the first time! I went for their free haircut with a coloring service promotion and was treated with such kindness and professionalism. The space is open, tasteful and clean. Supansa was a lovely listener, kind and open to helping me achieve a very bold new look. I didn’t feel rushed and she and the other stylists were genuinely excited for my transformation throughout the process (which made me feel like a million bucks). I am so pleased with how healthy my hair feels. This is truly me and now I know which salon will invest time, energy and creativity into my hair. Also a worthwhile and affordable investment for such healthy and amazing results.

Amanda has been cutting and coloring my hair for several years now. My primarily gray hair has amazing blue “highlights” and it’s very often the case when I’m out and about that I get wonderful compliments. Most recently I have been stopped during my travels to Toronto and NYC! I moved to Pittsburgh, PA a little over a year ago and drive 5+ hours to have Amanda work her magic! The staff is wonderful and make an extra effort when I call to find me an appointment time that fits with my schedule”commute” to NJ.
