The Shop Berkeley - Cuts for Men & Women

I mean talk about a bad haircut. EXTREMELY SPOTTY. Too long on the sides, looked NOTHING like the reference I showed. At all. Worst part, was no refund… for my $50. Only offered for me to come back and fix it two days later. Why would I trust them? And I’m leaving for Europe tomorrow. That’s ridiculous. Essentially, I was robbed and my head was assaulted. Absolutely criminal. I know Berkeley has awful haircut shops, but please find something better than this. I wanted to like this place, but I will never come back here. This is the second bad haircut here in a row. I hated asking for a refund, because I do feel bad, but since they didn’t give one for this poor of a job, I felt a response was needed. This was truly a disaster of a haircut.

Great barbershop in a nice area. I’ve gone about 4 times. I’ve found that the barbers are good and if you need any touch up they are very kind and will help you out — very nice manger too.

Called today to make an appointment and the receptionist was so rude and unprofessional that I just hung up. Not going to be spoken down to in this economy by some young kid with no sense of social communication skills. Many other places and people who cut hair. Get real.

BJ did my hair today, I got a Mohawk. They did a super job, they are very kind and considerate. They apologized when it wasn't quite right and ended up not changing me because of their mistake. I wanted to pay for it but they insisted. (A small note if you are sensitive to perfume as the shop does smell of fragrance a little bit)

Make an appointment before you go there. I felt that the place is crowded always. Clean place. Friendly staff. She cut my hair to donate and then she styled shoulder length hair perfectly. They play music. All stylists talk with you while styling your hair. This was my first time there and I liked it. Would recommend to anyone.
