The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Georgetown

Ritz always has beautiful properties. The staff was very friendly and provided the luxury experience I was looking for. The gym is a bit small, but the property itself is small. The view makes up for it though and Georgetown is a great location. The massage therapist, Diego, was quite good 10/10 service and attentive to my needs. Locker rooms are also on the bit smaller side, but honestly that was no issue on the men’s side at least. Would book again!

Massage therapist Mary Anne: 5 ⭐ Spa facility: 3⭐ Mary Anne was fantastic! She found all the knots in my shoulders and got them out. My massage was very soothing and relaxing, which is just what I wanted. When I passed the first security door, I was assaulted by a very strong scent. It was the smell of hay(?) or maybe horse feed-- a distinct smell that evoked memories of petting zoos and my aunt's farm. (The main lobby of the hotel smells like lingering cigarette smoke, so I'm not sure if no staff member ever recovered their sense of smell back from COVID or are all lifetime smokers, but if you're sensitive to smells, this place may not be the one for you). The relaxation specialists at the spa are phenomenal. They are so knowledgeable about all of the services offered. Diego was super professional and attentive when providing massage services. I will definitely be back!!

Terrible experience- don’t waste your time or money. The facility is extremely small- a maximum capacity of 3 people- there is no privacy as you try and undress nor any place to get ready after your treatment. Not much they can do about that but this is the Ritz and there shouldn’t have been dirty towels and used robes overflowing in the bins. The massage was subpar. The therapist did not work on the areas I requested and when I reminded her, did a quick 5 min focus at the end. They also ran out of bottled water. When we checked out, the gal never asked how our experience was. All she wanted to know was what form of payment to use. Turns out the receptionist was actually the spa manager. We did share our poor experience but she just stared at us and said nothing. She did of course add a 20

This place never disappoints! It's the better option over the Tysons Corner location. The service and professionalism is exceptional. In comparison to other spas, this location has less turnover and keep a clean environment, as expected to maintain its prestige...
