I truly had a great experience with my starter locs and with Nicole as my loctician. She answers any questions that I have and she’s super encouraging. I’m so excited about my journey. Update: I’m about 3.5 months into my journey and I must say I see such a big difference. Of course my locs are not fully matured yet but they are definitely doing what they are supposed to do. I’m loving this process!

I absolutely loved my experience at the Loc Shop. I am a very particular individual about who does my hair especially because I am new to the east coast. Trinity was amazing and I highly recommend her. She offered me Tea and gave me a table, so that I can do my work on my laptop while gettingmy hair done. The products they used were great and left my hair smelling good and feeling light. I will definitely be back for my duration of living here in Maryland. 10/10

If you love feeling pampered, chill vibes and outstanding customer service then you must check out the Loc Shop. I can’t say enough good things about this salon! This is my 2nd visit and from the moment I walked in, the vibes were immaculate—welcoming, stylish, and relaxing with bomb playlists. Everyone is SO friendly! My stylist Trinity truly listened to what I wanted and delivered beyond my expectations. The service was top-tier, the attention to detail was unmatched, and I left feeling confident and refreshed. They also always make you feel very welcomed with refreshments and tips for maintenance. If you’re looking for a salon where talent, professionalism, and great energy come together, this is the place!

I usually hate posting bad reviews for black owned business however, please don't go here if you don't like loosing money. You cannot get an appointment for anything without paying $50 for a consultation first. I understood that and still paid because I too wanted to interview the person who would be doing my hair. I have tried twice to establish an appointment by paying the $50 fee for the consultation online. My life can be hectic at times as I have a100% disabled spouse at home and a small child. I understood the risk of canceling and had to cancel the 1st time and I just ate the %50. The second time hower $100 in, the snowstorm came and messed up all of my plans for an online consultation. I communicated to the person I was scheduled to meet with that the snow storm will make things
