This review is for LGBTQ+ folks: I was having professional pictures taken near by and needed a hair cut on a very short notice in Farragut North. This place had the best reviews and was run by two women so I thought the vibes would be okay and safe. (I’m a lesbian with a men’s haircut and typical barbershops can be a little weird). Haircut was decent - job was done well and Suki and her sister were kind and friendly. I was planning on giving this place a good review! But while checking out they handed me a comic book/pamphlet which was all about Hell and how homosexuals (and whoremongers/liars/thieves/etc) were destined for hell. If you’re LGBTQ+ I would recommend steering clear, unfortunately.

I've been seeing Suki and Kim for over 4 years now for my haircut. They've consistently provided great service, affordable prices (for DC), and excellent haircuts. Couldn't recommend them more.

Kim and Suki consistently give the best haircut I've ever received. I live in New York now, but I still only get my haircut at The Hair Shoppe. They are attentive, kind, and talented hair stylists. I'm a baby about my hair, and I am able to relax throughout the entire experience here, knowing they will give me the exact cut I ask for every time. As a plus, they play great classical music and the price is incredibly reasonable for the quality.
