Update: I spent about three hours at this appointment. Throughout the service I expressed multiple times that I prefer short hair and specifically asked for weight to be removed and the layers to be taken higher to increase texture, because at that point the cut was just basic layers, not a shag. I’m familiar with the difference as I’ve had this haircut many times from different stylists and have even maintained it myself. I also made it clear that I did not need to keep my length and that “the shorter the better.”Each time I asked for more texture or higher layers, the stylist appeared visibly dissatisfied and continued to push back on my requests rather than working with what I was asking for. I had such a good first experience at The Colour Room and I’m already scheduled to come back for a touch-up! The salon itself is super clean, beautiful, and has such a welcoming vibe. Everyone is genuinely nice, too. I love the booking process too… being able to text a real human instead of calling is a game changer because sometimes I just don’t feel like talking on the phone. Carolina was amazing! She’s clearly up to date on the latest techniques, super knowledgeable, and you can tell she truly loves what she does and where she works. It’s always a green flag when your stylist is passionate about their craft. 10/10 experience for sure!

I've been coming to The Colour Room for my purple hair and I love the results every time! The two individuals, August and Lucas that normally do my hair are always very kind and friendly! The space is very open and allows for a lot of natural light so it feels very comfortable. I love being able to simply text for appointment and scheduling is so easy! Whoever is on the other end is always nice and helpful!

I discovered the perfect hair salon when I moved to San Antonio last year. I have since moved back home to Houston and will travel the distance because i’m that confident in this salons work! My stylist was Carolina and she was flawless in her work. She matched exactly what I wanted and I don’t think i’ve ever been more impressed.
