The Blend Barbershop

I visited this barbershop while out of town and requested a clean shave. To my surprise, the barber began with an electric trimmer rather than a razor. When I asked him to switch to a razor, he did, but the result was still a patchy “shave” with visible stubble. For a service (“shave” and hair trim) that cost $60 (plus the customary tip), I expected a much closer, smoother shave and better attention to detail. Although the staff were cordial, the overall service quality did not match the premium NYC price. I mentioned my dissatisfaction, tipped politely, and left, feeling that I hadn’t received the value I paid for. I went to another barbershop right after and told them I need a clean shave. At least they took care of me! If you’re looking for a precise, clean shave and good value for you

Just had a killer experience with Mario here at The Blend in PB. I’m in SD from Texas for a few days and needed a beard trim, so glad that I came to the right spot. Mario was precise and surgical on my beard - tapering down from the sideburns but keeping the length I wanted at the bottom the expertly finishing everything with the straight razor. I also appreciated the conversation - I come to San Diego quite a bit but was glad to hear about some hidden gems and new places to check out. Super clean shop and an all around great experience in Mario’s chair - will definitely come back next time I’m in SD.

Josiah and his team are amazing. Great vibe and they get you in and out without any hassle. All of their barbers do incredible work. If you are in the PB area, I’d highly recommend The Blend Barbershop!

Jess did a great job on her hubby's hair and I had incredible Taz to pet while I waited.
