Tenleytown's Barbershop

I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try this place out. Unfortunately I left pretty disappointed with my cut. I asked for a low taper fade and even showed a photo of what I wanted but did not leave happy with my cut. I felt like she took off way too much. I don’t think I’ll come back. Otherwise the people there were very nice so no issues there.

I went in for a beard trim which they took care of and I was pleased. I felt really nauseous at the end and had to stop the barber. I paid, say a little and left. I appreciated the concern they showed me. They actually were concerned. I will be back.

I am relieved and so grateful to have stumbled across this barbershop. My son was able to get his fade just the way he wanted it. They are quick and make sure that you are happy with the cut while you are in the chair. I haven’t had great luck with haircuts in this area because lots of the barbershops we went to didn’t have tougher combs or picks for kinky hair and they didn’t know how to cut his hair. We have had many too many bad experiences but at the barber’s name is TRY(pronounced tree). He did an amazing job on my sons head we will definitely be loyal to him so we don’t have to drive from Georgetown to southeast. We can come right to tenleytown. Thank you TRY

Great, friendly service. I came in about 20 minutes before close, and they very kindly (and quickly) cut my hair. Gave me a great fade. Also felt it was a queer-friendly space -- I felt comfortable as a gay person getting a masculine cut here. Would return!

Great barbershop. Been going here for the past 9 years and they’ve given great service. Would definitely recommend.
