I was visiting Florida and needed to have my wefts reinstalled during my stay. The picture shows my hair ten days after my appointment with James. After the initial visit, I had to return to the salon twice – once on the same day, because one of the layers hadn’t been placed evenly with the others and was hanging into my face. When I left the salon, it must have been caught somehow, so I didn’t notice it right away. That uneven layer was simply folded over and sewn down, which only lasted about a day. This is the first time in 20 years I left a salon absolutely loving my hair. He listened to my concerns and the style I was leaning towards. We discussed the examples I had and he was honest about the styling I would need to do to achieve the look. Over a foot of hair was removed and it looks fabulous. He gave me fun texture and a playful length. I immediately scheduled my next appointment. I can’t stop smiling.

I just got a men’s haircut with James, and it was honestly the best decision I’ve made since coming to Gainesville. I have medium-length wavy/curly hair, and this was my first time getting a haircut here in the three years I’ve been at school because I was worried about finding someone good. I’m so glad I took the chance. James was super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly skilled. He asked the right questions, explained what he was doing, and gave me a cut that looks great and works perfectly with my hair’s texture. I walked out with one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I came to him when I was having issues with my extension install and he absolutely saved my life. I’ve had extensions for 7 years and they have never looked or felt this good — they’re flawless, natural, comfortable, and he styled them sooo well! He’s so accommodating, friendly, and honestly made the whole appointment a blast. I’ve officially switched to him and I’m never going back. If I could give 20 stars, I would. 💫 Also, he is one of the few places in Gainesville that sell the Davines products which are absolutely amazing!

As a guy with medium/longer hair finding a good place is rather difficult. I’m also not trying to spend 100+ for a regular trim. James was perfect. He fit me into his schedule on short notice and delivered on exactly what I wanted and had no issue taking more time to take more off. Will definitely return.
