Sunset-Tan Janesville's Luxury Super Tanning Salon

I was extremely impressed with Ona, (pronounced Ah-na) with how she handled my phone calls first. The most patient and kind voice, and I called three times. I was even more impressed when I arrived that evening. It was near closing time, and Ona didn't act any different from when I called that day...which means she cared about her customer more than her getting out on time, which is rarely seen these days. Very knowledgeable, walked me back to my tanning bed, and made sure I had no other questions or concerns, before going in...Ona was the only one I saw there, which impressed me even more!!! So, I signed up for a month!! Thankyou Ona!

Nice Staff, But a Pure Contractual Trap I signed up primarily for the Red Light Therapy. I must say, the staff is actually very friendly, but the policies and business practices are absolutely misleading and feel like a trap. Subpar Service: The spray tan booth yields consistently splotchy results. Frankly, cheap, at-home self-tanning products provide a superior finish. The Real Problem: Deceptive Freeze/Cancellation Policy: When I tried to cancel my membership, a staff member talked me into an account "freeze." I was given a paper with the freeze dates and told to "take a picture and cancel before the end date on there." Crucially, they never mentioned the requirement to cancel before the 1st of the month. The paper they provided was completely silent on this crucial deadline. I retur

I have two problems with this place: the sneaky fine way they handle billing with account freezing, and the quality of their spray tans. I paid for 2-3 months worth of subscription to their self-tanning booths, and did...2? Maybe 3 tans? The first tan was splotchy and uneven, which they said was because I wasn't using their "insurance" which was a very specific pre-tan lotion. I finally bought the lotion and tried another tan, which was better, but still weirdly splotchy and more orange than I liked. My at-home tanners are worlds better. I went to the salon to cancel, and was offered a freeze instead. The lady at the desk said as long as I canceled by the end of the freeze I was good. I put the date in my calendar and went to the salon a couple months later to cancel before that date. T

Went here for a spray tan. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. However, I don’t understand why this place calls itself “luxury” — the experience/location wasn’t bad, but definitely is not luxury. I recommend bringing your own hair net/covering (the ones there are sized for infants), along with lotion and make up remover (the products they have available are subpar). Overall tho, I would probably tell a friends it’s a reliable solution for spray tans, but is a half notch below what you’d get from place like Sun Tan City (not luxury).

Dakota and Caelyn were so helpful!! Dakota took time to give me a comprehensive tour of all of the beds and answer all the questions I had. She was wonderful! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable, and they helped me pick what was going to work best for me based on my needs. I did a lot of research before coming in and I’m so glad I found this place! The prices are very reasonable and they offer great promotions, too.
