Sun Tan City

My husband, David, and I love Sun Tan City in Staunton. He loves the red light therapy and I love the Shaper which provides 3 levels of vibration and the hydro massage chair. The staff is wonderful and the facility is spotless.

I have to say I was totally turned off by a visit I made to this salon just a bit ago. As I was walking into the salon, I see an employee go into a room with a male client. I was immediately thinking what kind of stuff goes on here LOL. Personally, I won’t be returning to this place. The staff is rude and just doesn’t seem to care what goes on there.

Nice facility and staff but bad equipment. I've been a member for several months and I'm paying $99 a month so I can use the red light which is important to me. There are only two with red light, both of which have old bulbs that are ineffective and one of which has a broken facial tanner that has not been repaired in forever so I have not been able to use either of those machines that I am paying for weeks. Bulbs in all of the machines are left far too long to where they are in effective for actual tanning but just exposing you to the UV rays for no reason. For as busy as they are and the membership we pay, bulbs should be frequently replaced based on the number of hours the machine has been used, and repairs should be done immediately. Just in the area over night and needed a spray tan refresh! So happy Staunton has a STC and this location is outstanding! So very clean!! The associate working was friendly and sweet. Overall great STC location!!
