I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the handling of my cancellation request and my overall experience as a long-term customer. Toward the end of September, I visited the Sun Spot location to cancel my monthly tanning subscription. I have been a paying client for approximately two years, and have been a customer on and off since 2011. The staff member I spoke with confirmed that she noted my request in my file and informed me that I would receive a call from corporate two weeks prior to my next payment draft. She also provided me with the corporate contact number. I’ve been going here for years and haven’t had any problems till recently. I brought my service dog in training to tan and was told my dog was not allowed in. Since it was 90 degrees and I didn’t want my car or dog stolen, I decided not to do leave my dog in my running car as they suggested so I had to leave. (The owner said I wasn’t actually told to leave, but what choice did she give me?) I asked the owner why my dog wasn’t allowed in and was told “the tanning bed light might blind my dog, and by the way, why did I suddenly have a “service dog” (she texted this and put quotes around service dog) now when I never had one before”. Staff is always so friendly and establishment is very clean. Nothing but excellent service with a good vibe.
