Extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year, which makes this even more frustrating to write. Within less than a week of my appointment, I experienced my nail breaking and a few days later another. That level of breakage is unacceptable — nail services should reasonably last at least two weeks under normal day-to-day use. Beyond the durability problems, the cuticle work looked messy and poorly finished. Clean cuticle work is a basic expectation of a professional manicure, and the quality simply was not there this time. I’ve been going to Shape of Nails for a long time and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. Adele does my nails every time and she’s amazing at what she does. You can show her a random picture of a design and she’ll recreate it perfectly. She really pays attention to the shape and the little details, and she never rushes. On top of that, she’s such a sweet person and always makes the appointment feel relaxed and enjoyable. My nails always come out exactly how I want them. Highly recommend Adele.

Best manicure of my life! Chihiro is the best nail technician I’ve ever had and I can’t say enough about her diligence, perfectionism, professionalism, and overall pleasant attitude. I have the sense that she genuinely enjoys what she does and is dedicated to her craft. She works hard and is focused on ensuring I have the best experience possible and that I’m happy with my nails at every stage of the shaping and filing. She helps pick out colors that match my skin tone and I have never received so many compliments from strangers about my nails. I would follow her anywhere, she’s truly gifted. She also has an impeccably organized station that is spotlessly clean and communicates (to me) that she takes pride in a job well done. She’s special!

My cuticles are so dry as my hands are always in water. Especially in the winter my skin actually catches on to cloth. My My nails are dry and brittle. I wish I had a before picture to show you. When I do regular manicure, my cuticles around my nails are still catching onto things. When I asked Alona what to do she suggested I do Japanese polish / manicure. It was a dry manicure I believe this salon only does dry. Alona did an incredible job!!! So so happy! Will come back again for sure! To me worth every penny.

I truly wanted to love this place and gave it more than one chance. The salon itself is beautiful, and the overall experience is welcoming and luxurious. Unfortunately, my experience with the nail services left me very disappointed. I had my nails done twice, both times with a ‘Top Master VIP’ (names intentionally left out), from what I understand, is meant to justify a higher price point. Despite that, the quality just wasn’t there. Within a week, the builder gel began lifting from the corners, and by the second week, I had already lost a nail. For a service that costs $135+, I expected much better technique and lasting results. It honestly pains me to write a negative review, but having this happen twice makes it impossible to overlook.
