TL;DR (long version in the photos)—I never write reviews of businesses, let alone small businesses but I am hoping that doing this will save someone else what I went through. I visited Semra’s studio twice and she gave me a severe allergic reaction (Google PPD allergic reaction and HD Brows and BrowSculpt) that left me with severe hives on my face and extreme swelling of the eyes/ face for which I had to see three doctors and had to use six separate medications. It took me over a month to fully recover (I visited her salon Sept. 17, and am only now fully recovered as of late Oct.). After I told her about it, the only apology she gave me was “sorry to hear about it :(“ I asked her for a refund and she refused, not even refunding me the tip or the cost of the service that caused the allergic

I’ve been a loyal client of Semra in Georgetown, DC, for YUMI lash lifts for years, and I couldn’t be happier with the services I’ve received. After trying multiple other salons with inconsistent results, finding Semra was a game-changer. She truly takes the time to understand each client and tailors her work accordingly—in my case, she knows that my lashes need the solution left on for the maximum time to achieve the best lift. Semra is a master of her craft and has rightfully earned her excellent reputation in the DMV area. She is kind and professional, and I am always thrilled with the beautiful, consistent results she delivers every time!

Semra is the best esthetician I've been to! I've never seen my brows look better than when I leave her office. Even when I've lived out of state, I swing by Semra when I'm in town. Highly recommend!!

Semra is amazing! She is an expert in her field. I won't go anywhere else to get my eyebrows shaped. I've been going to Semra for almost six years. When I went to her for the first time, she told me to grow out my eyebrows so she could reshape them (because my shape was terrible and uneven). Most places would just do what they could and leave it at that. Her honesty and expertise totally changed my face. She's also great at tinting brows and lashes, does beautiful lash extensions that last, and is great at professional makeup. She's wonderful, and so is her staff. The atmosphere of her chic suite makes the entire experience relaxing, quick, easy, and fun. Getting my brows waxed is my favorite errand because of Semra herself. If you don't go to Semra, your brows are suffering!!
